Spain started the Euro qualifiers with a 4-1 victory over Moldavia. Gines Meléndez's side were caught out in the tenth minute when Ciofu beat Herrero with a shot in to the top corner of the net. Seven minutes later though Quesada and Vadillo combined to set up Celta's Denis Suárez for the equaliser, and after the restart goals from Barcelona's Quesada and Real Madrid's José Rodríguez and Raúl wrapped things up.
