Latest transfers

Now the season has come to an end the transfer market is upon us again, with clubs having until the end of August to make up their new squads. .Managers are the first priority though, and half of the clubs in the first division will probably change theirs before the new season. The three relegated teams have already done so, José Luis Oltra replacing Lotina at Deportivo, young Argentinian Luis Zebeldía the new man at Almería for Roberto Olabe, and Mandía more than likely to come back to Hércules in place of Djukic. Atlético, Getafe, Real Sociedad and Sevilla have all announced that their coaches will not be staying on, and there are doubts at Athletic Bilbao, Levante and Racing.

The big sides want to get their squads together as early as possible though, and Real Madrid have already signed Turkish players Sahin and Altintop from the Bundesliga, as well as bringing back Callejón. Coentrao and maybe even Agüero could be next, although somebody will have to leave first. Atlético got Adrián, Miranda and Silvio in some time ago, and Gabi will be returning from Zaragoza. Sevilla have agreed terms with Manu del Moral and Trochowski, and Valencia have tied up Diego Alves from Almería, the fifth keeper on their books right now. Barcelona have yet to make any signings, although Villarreal's Rossi is very close, and José Angel and Kiko Femenía may also join, even if they start in the B side. The eternal dream though is Cesc Fábregas, but with talented youngster Thiago promoted to the first team it is difficult to see where he would fit in. Lots of new faces elsewhere as well (for details check out the above link), and as we go to press news in coming in that the big-spending Málaga are bringing back Van Nistelrooy. José Luis Oltra Almería Deportivo MG Ex Almería coach replaces Lotina, who is out of contract. Took Tenerife up a couple of seasons ago.
Didac AC Milan (ITA) Espanyol DF Young left back transferred in winter, but returns on loan as not playing much.
Albín (URU) Getafe Espanyol MF Moves on after 5 years at Getafe. Reported fee of around €2 Mio.
Adrián Luna (URU) Defensor (URU) Espanyol FW Have signed young forward to replace Callejón. Paid around €1 Mio for him.
Lopo / Juan Rodríguez Deportivo Getafe DF / MF Both out of contract, and had already agreed terms to move before Depor relegated.
Lacen (ALG / FRA) Racing Santander Getafe MF Joins on 4 year deal after a couple of years at Santander. Boateng may be sold to make room?
Diego Castro Sporting Gijón Getafe MF Best player in Sporting last season, but out of contract and have signed him ahead of teams like Valencia.
Caicedo (ECU) Manchester City (ENG) Levante FW Was on loan last season, and have paid €1 Mio buy out clause. May well sell him on though to raise funds.
Barkero Numancia Levante MF Ex Real Sociedad midfielder out of contract and signs 2 year deal.
Van Nistelrooy (HOL) Hamburg (GER) Málaga FW Van the Man is back! Have signed ex Real Madrid striker on one year contract, with option for one more. Sheik Al-Thani brings in another big name!
Buonanotte (ARG) River Plate (ARG) Málaga FW Paid €4.5 Mio for him in January, but only joins this summer. Signs 5 year deal.
Ibrahima (SEN) Atlético Madrid / Numancia Osasuna FW Was on loan at Numancia, and has agreed terms for 3 year contract as part of Juanfran deal.
Rubén Mallorca Osasuna DF Ex Real Madrid centre back will replace Josetxo. Signs 2 year deal with one year additional option.
Marc Bertrán Tenerife Osasuna DF Will be leaving relegated side this summer, and all reports are that he will be moving to Pamplona.
Sahin (TKY) Borussia Dortmund (GER) Real Madrid MF Bundesliga player of the year joins on 6 year contract for reported fee of around €10 Mio.
Altintop (TKY) Bayern Munich (GER) Real Madrid MF Another Turkish player joins Mourinho. Four year deal. Can play anywhere on right flank, including full back.
Callejón Espanyol Real Madrid FW Rejoins old club on 5 year deal. Buy back option ran out last season, so have had to pay around €5 Mio for him.
Manu del Moral Getafe Sevilla FW New Spanish international signs 4 year contract with Andalusian side. Early years in Atlético.
Trochowski (GER) Hamburg (GER) Sevilla MF Another German international moves to Spain. Five year contract with €20 Mio buy out clause.
Martín Cáceres (URU) Barcelona Sevilla DF Have agreed to exercise buy out option after one year one loan from Barça.
Damián Suárez (URU) Defensor (URU) Sporting Gijón DF Under 20 international joins on 3 year deal to replace Sastre. Fee around $800K.
Diego Alves (BZL) Almería Valencia GK . Not a very well kept secret. Good season despite relegation means he had several suitors. Valencia now have 5 keepers!
Chica Espanyol Betis DF Contract not renewed, so agrees 4 year deal to move to newly promoted side.
Renato (BZL) / Zokora (IVC) Sevilla Botafogo (BZL) / Trabzonspor (TKY) MF Both players moving on to make room for new signings. Renato agrees to rescind contract, Zokora goes for €6 Mio.
