Villarreal cruised through to a semi-final meeting with Porto after beating Twente 1-3 in their second leg match. The 5-1 win in the first leg had made the outcome all but sure for Juan Carlos Garrido's side, but with half an hour on the clock Bajrami opened the scoring for the Dutch league leaders after Janssen and Ruíz combined to set him up, and there were some anxious faces on the away bench when the striker went close again on the stroke of half time. Ten minutes after the restart though Rossi made sure of the result when he equalised from the penalty spot after Tiendalli was sent off for tripping Wakaso as he advanced in to the area. Garrido rested the Italian striker a few minutes later, but his replacement Hernán Pérez won a second penalty which Marco Rubén converted. And with the game coming to an end Cani controlled Rubén's high cross and volleyed home a third just to make sure. (14.04.11)
