Murcia 0 - Real Madrid 0. Second division B side holds Madrid to score-less draw. Keep an eye on tomorrow's obituary column!

Wednesday, 27th October:

Final results: Betis 0 - Zaragoza 1; Uni Las Palmas 0 - Atlético 5. Racing only 1st div side to lose to lower team. 3 more ties tomorrow.

Uni Las Palmas 0 - Atlético 5 (min 84 - Fran Mérdia). Ex Arsenal man completes the "manita".

Betis 0 - Zaragoza 1 (min 62 - Gabi). Midfielder converts a penalty after Braulio is fouled.

Uni Las Palmas 0 - Atlético 4 (min 48 - Costa, min 53 - Agüero). Two more in the second half takes Atleti well clear.

More results: Hércules 0 - Málaga 0; Mallorca 3 - Sporting 1; Xerez 2 - Levante 3. Other two ties at half time break.

Poli Ejido 1 - Villarreal 1 (min 90 - Moreno). 2B side equalise late on, but Villarreal confident of good cup run this year.

Mallorca 3 - Sporting 1 (min 90 - Rubén). Defender gives Laudrup's side two goal margin for second leg.

Xerez 2 - Levante 3 (min 88 - Larrea). Visitors turn the scoreline around late on!

Uni Las Palmas 0 - Atlético 2 (min 41 - Agüero). Kun makes it two with a "golazo"!

Xerez 2 - Levante 2 (min 81 - Stuani). Second goal for forward levels the scores once again in Jerez.

Córdoba 2 - Racing 0 (min 75 - Díaz de Cerio). On-loan forward causes more problems for Miguel Angel Portugal.

Universidad Las Palmas 0 - Atlético Madrid 1 (min 25 - Godín). defender heads in a corner to put Atleti ahead.

Mallorca 2 - Sporting 1 (min 60 - Barral). Important away goal for the Asturians.

Xerez 2 - Levante 1 (min 60, Stuani, min 64 Bermejo). Stuani equalises from the penalty spot, but Xerez restore the lead 4 minutes later.

Valladolid 0 - Espanyol 2 (min 55 - Alvaro Vázquez). Second goal for the youngster!

Portugalete 1 - Getafe 1 (min 52 - Bergara). Basque 3rd division side equalise!

Final scores: Logroñés 0 - Valencia 3; Real Unión 0 - Sevilla 4. Matches at Betis and Uni Las Palmas kicking off at 22:00.

Poli Ejido 0 - Villarreal 1 (min 44 - Altidore). US forward gets his first of the season on the stroke of half time.

Real Unión 0 - Sevilla 3 (min 89 - Alfaro). Third goal virtually puts Andalusians in last 16. Header from Dabo's cross.

Valladolid 0 - Espanyol 1 (min 38 - Alvaro Vázquez). Youngster gets the first of the night in Zorilla against the ten men.

Logroñés 0 - Valencia 3 (min 79 - Vicente). Winger wraps things up after good work by Joaquín.

Hércules 0 - Málaga 0. Portillo hits the bar from the penalty spot. Third penalty missed tonight already!

Mallorca 2 - Sporting 0 (min 33 - Cavenaghi). Striker scores his second on the follow up after penalty saved.

Xerez 1 - Levante 0 (min 32 - José Marí). Another lower ranked team in front, this time with strike from ex Betis veteran.

Córdoba 1 - Racing 0 (min 25 - Oriol Riera). Striker heads the second division side in to the lead against the Cantabrians.

Real Unión 0 - Sevilla 2 (min 68 - Negredo). Striker makes up for his penalty miss with his second of the night.

Valladolid 0 - Espanyol 0. Valladolid down to ten in the 20th minute after Jesús Rueda sent off.

Logroñés 0 - Valencia 2 (min 56 and 60, Aduríz). New Spanish international scores two in six minutes to put the Chés well ahead.

Mallorca 1 - Sporting 0 (min 11 - Cavenaghi). The islanders take the lead in one of the all-first-division ties.

Portugalete 0 - Getafe 1 (min 6 - Sardinero). Young striker gets the first against the only third division side left in the tournament.

The second half starts at Real Unión. Negredo misses a penalty!

The first two games have reached the interval with only one goal. Seven more ties starting in a couple of minutes.

Logroñés 0 - Sevilla 1 (min 45 - Negredo). Coming up to half time and Negredo gets the first goal of the evening from a Cáceres cross.

Real Unión v Sevilla and Logroñés v Valencia kicking off in a few minutes time. Rest of cup ties follow later.

Thursday 28th October:

Real Sociedad 2 - Almería 3. Second half goals from Goitom and Ulloa (2) turn scoreline around.

Real Sociedad 2 - Almería 0 (min 31 - Elustondo). Elustondo scores the second from Agirretxe's cross.

Osasuna 1 - Deportivo 1 (min 67 - Juanfran, min 70 - Saúl). Osasuna take lead but Saúl equalises three minutes later.

Real Sociedad 1 - Almería 0 (min 7 - Sarpong). First goal in San Sebastian.
