Athletic Bilbao are already sure of a place in the next round after beating Austria Vienna 0-3 on Thursday, and they now need to better the 3-1 first leg result against Werder Bremen to finish top of their group.

Llorente opened the scoring in the twentieth minute after Yeste and San José had both hit the bar, and San José made it two after the restart.

The game was held up for twenty minutes due to crowd trouble, but when things resumed, Llorente netted his second of the evening to make sure of the result.
