Spain lost their final game of the mini-tournament to Portugal, although they still go through to the next round as second in the group behind their neighbours. Luis Milla's side were dominated in the first half, Oliveira bringing a good save out of Aitor before Rubén Pinto picked up an angled pass to beat the keeper. Canales fired a shot just over the bar as Spain came back after the restart, but even so Aitor had to be on his toes to keep out Oliveira again near the end.
