Spain got off to a good start in the qualifying mini-tournament with a 5-1 win over Macedonia. Canales opened the scoring with a long shot, and Canales and Sielva both hit the woodwork before each of them set up Rodri respectively to score twice around the half hour mark. Antonio Stankov got one back before the break after Aitor could only push out his first shot, but Pacheco headed in Keko's cross for the fourth, and Keko himself wrapped things up near the end.
