With almost three months to go until the summer window closes, the transfer market has been very slow over the last two weeks. Mourinho has been confirmed as Real Madrid's manager and others such as Quique, Antonio Alvarez and Gay will be staying on at their respective clubs, but Mallorca, Tenerife and Xerez have yet to confirm who will be in charge next season. Many names are being touted as possible new faces at Madrid, including Di Maria, De Rossi, Maicon and Kolarov, but with the World Cup kicking off today, minds are on other things. Soldado has been confirmed though as the man to replace Villa (and Zigic) at Valencia, and Atlético are bringing Fran Mérida, Mario Suárez and Diego Costa back to the club. Barcelona weren't able to tie up Cesc Fábregas however before he left for South Africa, and it will now be up to the new president to decide on new signings, and in particular whether Arsenal's asking price for Cesc is worth paying. Elections take place this weekend, but outgoing president Joan Laporta has already tied up David Villa, and this week he signed extended terms to ensure Xavi and Pedro stay on at the Nou Camp for the next four or five years.
