Spain made it through to the under 17 European final for the third time in four years after beating Turkey 3-1 in the semi-finals. Campaña tested Uysal a couple of times early on, and in the tenth minute Jesé picked up a ball in his own half and ran through to beat the keeper with an angled shot. Calis equalised for the Turkish side after Derici set him up just a few minutes after the restart, but soon afterwards his team were left with ten men after Kartal was sent off for a second bookable offence. Spain took advantage, Jesé and Paco Alcácer bringing good saves out of Uysal before Jesé sent Paco through to restore the lead. And just two minutes later Aydin brought down Gerard in the area, and Paco stepped up to convert the spot kick for his sixth goal in the tournament. Ginés Meléndez's side were through to Sunday's final in Vaduz, where they will play England. With both teams having won all their games, it promises to be a cracking end to the competition. (27.05.10)
