Atlético Madrid will play Sevilla in this season's Spanish cup final despite losing 3-2 on the night to Racing Santander. The four goal lead from the first leg had virtually sealed the tie, and although a second minute Valera own goal gave the home side a slim hope, Atlético levelled the scores soon afterwards when Moratón also put through his own net. Jurado extended the visitors' lead after the restart, and late goals by Xisco and Tchité were scant consolation for the Cantabrians. (11.02.10)
Sevilla are the first team to qualify for the final of this season's Spanish cup after beating Getafe 2-1 on aggregate. Defending a two goal advantage from the first leg, the Andalusians lost 1-0 on the night thanks to a headed goal early in the second half from Soldado. But Palop put in a sterling performance after that to take his side through to their first final in three years. (10.02.10)
