The new transfer window opens on 1st January, although right now nobody seems very prepared to splash out money in this time of crisis. Valencia are the only club to announce a new signing, Rubin Kazan forward "Chori" Domínguez tied up well before other teams could get their hands on him. Given that they said they would not be spending due to their precarious financial state, does this mean that they have lined up a replacement for the likes of David Villa before selling him on? Things should start to move though after the Christmas break, with several names already coming up as possible replacements for Real Madrid's injured central defender, Pepe. (26.12.09)
