Spanish Super Cup, second leg

Barcelona won the first official trophy of the new season, beating Athletic Bilbao by 5-1 on aggregate to take the Spanish Supercup for the eighth time. Although Athletic put out a weakened side they held on until four minutes after the break, when Messi ghosted through to open the scoring. Messi added a second from the penalty spot after Ustaritz fouled Dani Alves, and substitute Bojan wrapped things up just a minute after coming on, nipping in to intercept a bad back pass to score.
