Pre-season fixtures

The big summer tournaments took place this week, with Deportivo hosting a watered down Teresa Herrera trophy against a depleted Atlético Madrid side. Abel Resino reserved some of his key players, but they still won in the penalty shoot out. Recreativo's Colombino trophy was won by Betis, who beat one of the teams who replaced them in the first division, Zaragoza, and then drew with the hosts. And Cádiz celebrated their return to the second division with an all-star line-up for their Ramón de Carranza tournament, with Deportivo, Sevilla and Valencia the teams invited. Depor will play Sevilla in this weekend's final. (14.08.09)
