Benidorm. Not the best of
starts for Spain on the opening day of the European qualifying tournament,
Ginés Meléndez's side being held to a 2-2 draw by Belgium. Real
Madrid's Sarabia fired them in to an early lead, and Atlético's Borja
won himself a penalty just three minutes after the restart to make it two.
Vervaet got one back though soon afterwards, and Sahin equalised in the last
minute. In the other group match the Czech Republic beat Kazakhstan 3-0.
