Madrid. Spain's under 17
side beat USA in a friendly match which served as a warm up for next month's
European qualifiers. Barcelona's Sergi won it for the youngsters in the last
minute after McInerney had cancelled out an earlier goal from Atlético's
Borja. Spain play a couple more friendlies against Romania later this month
before the qualifiers, which will take place in the Benidorm region.
Spain played two friendly
games against Romania in Madrid on 24 and 26 February as pre-tournament
training for the European qualifiers.
