Spain are through to another finals after winning through their Elite group stage, which took place in and around Benidorm. It was a close fought contest though, Gines Menéndez's side only drawing their opening game against Belgium, despite going two up with a strike from Real Madrid's Sarabia and a penalty from Atlético's Borja. And in their second match they had to come from behind to beat Kazakhstan 2-1, Borja the scorer of both goals. The third and final game was against the Czech Republic, and a second minute goal from Sarabia was enough to give them a 1-0 victory and ensure another shot at defending their title in Germany in May.
