Transfer rumours

The financial crisis is hitting Spain in a big way, and this is having it's effect in the word of football. With everybody worried about their future it seems the transfer market has come to a complete halt. Since Real Madrid's early investment in Huntelaar and Lass, virtually no big deal has been closed, and only 15 players have moved to first division clubs. One week still remains before the 31 January midnight deadline, but although there are many rumours, it is unlikely that any major transfers will take place. When will it all end? (23.01.09)
