World Cup qualifier
Spain 1 - Bosnia Herzegovina 0
Spain clocked up
their first three points in the new World Cup campaign, although they made hard
work of it before finally running out 1-0 winners over Bosnia
Herzegovina. Marcos Senna hit the bar midway through the first half, and
David Villa fired a penalty kick wide after Capel was tripped in the area close
to half time. Villa made up for his miss, scoring from the tightest of angles
after picking up a Fábregas through ball and rounding the keeper twelve
minutes in to the second half. But Del Bosque's side couldn't add to their
total, and there was relief all round when the referee blew the final whistle.
