Friendly tournament, Ireland
Spain's under 19 side
won a friendly tournament in Ireland after three victories in three matches.
Luis Milla and Aitor Karanka were in charge for the first time, and their side
started with a 3-0 win over Ukraine, the goals coming in the second half
from Nacho (Real Madrid), Salva (Sevilla) and Sergio (Mallorca). They had more
problems with their second game the following day, although a first minute
strike from Villarreal's Jordi Pablo was enough to see them through 1-0 against
Portugal. And two days later they rounded things off beating hosts
Ireland 0-2, with goals from Villarreal's Mario and Barcelona's Iago.
