Champions League, third qualifying round, first leg

Mixed results for the two Spanish sides kicking off in the third and final qualifying round of the Champions League tonight. Barcelona had no problems seeing off Poland's Wisla Krakow, Eto'o and Xavi scoring early on and Henry and Eto'o adding two more after the break in a 4-0 victory. But Atlético Madrid have some work to do after a 1-0 defeat at the hands of German side Schalke '04, Pander getting the only goal for the locals on the half hour mark and Atlético hanging on in the end after Antonio López was sent off with fifteen minutes to go.
