Deportivo are close to a place in the UEFA Cup qualifying round after a 1-2 victory against Israel's Bnei Sakhnin in their Intertoto Cup final. Lafita hit the bar before opening the scoring early in the second half, collecting Sergio's long ball before cutting in to score. And just three minutes later Valerón and Lafita combined to set up Riki for a second. Ghanayim got one back though soon afterwards, Lopo deflecting his long shot past Fabricio, and there were some nervous moments for the away fans before the final whistle. (19.07.08)
