Pre-season fixtures

We're off! The first match of the new campaign took place this week, with Deportivo preparing for their upcoming Intertoto Cup game with a couple of friendlies in Denmark. Atlético have also started early in order to be ready for their Champions League qualifier, and they are already in Mexico to play four games against top opposition prior to returning to Spain at the end of the month. And Spain's under 19 side kick off in the European finals in the Czech Republic this week, hoping to be crowned kings of Europe once again. Doesn't seem two days since the grown ups did the same in Vienna! (11.07.08)
