Spain moved to the top of
their qualifying group, just ahead of Russia on goal difference, after beating
Poland 3-0. Bojan and Jurado both hit the woodwork early on, but it was not
until five minutes before the break that they went ahead when Glik deflected
Mata's free kick past his own keeper.
Bojan came close again a
couple of times after the restart, but there were some nervous moments as the
visitors pushed for the equaliser. However with the game already in injury time
the Barcelona striker got his reward when he chased down a long ball and kept
his calm long enough to round a defender on the goal line and score.
Almost immediately from the
kick off the unfortunate keeper Bialkowski (who was already sent off in the
previous meetings between the two sides) mis-kicked a clearance, and Sevilla's
Diego Capel picked up the rebound and slotted the ball under his legs for the
third. |
