Spain are already qualified
for the under 19 European finals after beating Turkey 3-0 in their second Elite
Group match. It took them some time to get going though in the heat at Yerevan,
Atlético Madrid keeper doing well to save from Kurt to keep the scores
level at the break.
Within two minutes of the
restart though Real Madrid's Dani Parejo opened the scoring with a free kick,
Atlético's Camacho making sure as the ball crossed over the line. Nsue
and César Ortíz both headed against the bar soon afterwards, but
De Gea had to save a Kurtulus penalty before Nsue set up Racing's Iván
Bolado to head a second on the hour mark.
After that it was all over,
and Camacho completed the scoreline with a third following a corner near the
end The win ensures top spot of the group and a place in July's finals in the
Czech Republic irrespective of the result in the last game against hosts
Armenia on Tuesday. Coach Gines Meléndez can afford to make changes for
that match. |
