Defending champions Spain
are into the final once again after a 2-1 win over Holland. Juan Santiesteban's
side were against the ropes in the first half, Castillion firing a shot just
wide before Wesley Sneijder's younger brother Rodney headed the Dutch team in
to the lead from Cabral's cross.
Atlético's Pulido
equalised however soon after the restart, controlling Thiago's speculative punt
on his chest before sweeping a shot in off the bar. That took the game into
extra time, and Espanyol substitute Angel Martínez fired home the winner
with eight minutes to go. Spain will play France in the final next Friday, a
repeat of their group match which ended 3-3. |
