Transfer rumours
A slow start to the transfer
market for the top two divisions, with only twelve registrations in the first
week of activity. There was more talk though of possible summer signings, with
Real Madrid and Barcelona both reportedly going for Cristian Ronaldo, Milan
pushing for Sergio Ramos and Daniel Alves once again in the news, not to
mention Ronaldinho. Barcelona themselves are looking for a replacement keeper
after Jorquera injured himself playing for Catalunya, and Getafe's Ustari is
the current favourite. However the club have been offered over 20 names this
week. News gets around quickly!
Meanwhile the storm
continues at Valencia, with Manuel Fernandes the latest to be given the black
spot by Koeman after being arrested following a brawl in a disco. Albelda is
talking of taking the club to court for wrongful dismissal and Cañizares
and Angulo are looking for new homes. Meanwhile the Chés have splashed
out around 16 million for young Argentine midfielder Ever Banega. The way
Koeman is hiring and firing, will it be the case in a few months of "Never say
Ever again"? (05.01.08) |
