Atlético Madrid are a step closer to reaching the knock-out stage after beating Aberdeen 2-0. A Forlán penalty on the stroke of half time and a Simao free kick on the hour mark were enough to take Aguirre's side up to second in their group. Getafe lost 1-2 to Hapoel Tel Aviv though, a set back after their opening win against Tottenham. Pablo's last minute penalty was not enough to cancel out first half strikes from Badir and Dego.
