Spanish national squad

Mallorca's uncapped striker Dani Güiza has been called up by Luis Aragonés for next week's Euro 2008 double-header against Sweden and Northern Ireland. Güiza is in instead of Fernando Torres, who is still not back to 100% after an injury, although David Villa does return instead of Espanyol's Luis García. Aragonés has also recalled Villarreal's Marcos Senna after a year's absence as cover for the injured Xabi Alonso, with Angulo missing out this time around. (09.11.07)

Under 21 squad

Spain's managers called up an 18 man squad for the upcoming European qualifier with Poland, which takes place in Ponferrada on Friday, 16th November. There are three new faces compared to the team which beat the East Europeans away a month ago, with Piscu (Deportivo), Monreal (Osasuna) and Juande (Betis) coming in and César Arzo (Murcia), Crespo (Sevilla) and Raúl García (Atlético) dropping out.
