Transfer rumours

As usual there was a late rush of signings as the doors closed on the summer transfer market. No less than 54 moves were registered on the last day between first and second division sides, with star names including Koné, Motta, Luccin, Del Horno, Manuel Fernandes, Angel, Oubiña, José Marí, Gerard, Movilla, Plasil, Tchité, Szetela, Gustavo López and many more. One move which didn't take place though was that of Daniel Alvés to either Chelsea or Real Madrid, the asking price in the end too high for either club. No more moves will be allowed (with certain limited exceptions) until the window opens again in the new year. (06.09.07)
