Antonio Puerta

It is with great sadness that we have to report the death today of Antonio Puerta. The 22 year old Sevilla player, who made his international debut only a few months ago, collapsed during Saturday's match with Getafe, and was rushed to hospital after suffering a cardiac arrest in the changing rooms. Sevilla's Champions League qualifying match against AEK Athens has been postponed to next Monday, although the European Super Cup will take place on Friday as planned.
