A good away draw for
Osasuna, although they will rue the fact the equaliser by their opponents came
with virtually the last kick of the match. The trip to Ibrox Park brought back
memories for the visiting fans as it was the ground where they played their
first match in Europe 21 years ago (as well as being the venue for this year's
final). And they got off to a good start, Raúl García heading a
long ball from Juanlu wide of Klos to open the scoring.
Muñoz came close to
adding to the lead twice after the restart, and the only save that Ricardo had
to make in the first 90 minutes was a long shot from Thomson. But with the game
already in injury time Juanfran could only clear as far as Hemdani, who
controlled the ball and fired a shot wide of the keeper. Still a good result
for the Spaniards, but it could have been even better. |
