Osasuna are in danger of
being knocked out of the UEFA Cup after losing 3-1 at Lens. The French side
took the lead when Dindane cut in past Josetxo and Corrales to beat Elia from
the right of the area, and Dindane and Baukari both tried their luck a few
minutes later.
Valdo could have equalised
before the break, and five minutes after the restart he did so after picking up
a pass from ex Lens winger Delporte. But first half substitute Javier
Flaño gave away a penalty on Cousin which the forward himself converted,
and although Raúl García and Valdo had chances to level the
scores, Baukari ran on to Dindane's pass to wrap things up three minutes from
the end.
The defeat left the
Navarrans with only one point in their first two games, and Ziganda's side have
now gone eight matches in all competitions without a win, during which time
they have only scored twice. |
