Transfer rumours

Speculation over! David Beckham has turned down Real Madrid's offer to extend his contract and has opted for a move to Los Angeles next summer on a five year deal which reportedly will earn him just under €200 million. A change of "Galaxy" for the ex England captain, but other "Galacticos" will also have to find new planets to colonize, including Ronaldo and Cassano, who have both been given two weeks to get out as Capello and the Madrid board get tough following recent bad results. Salgado, Raúl and others may well have to move on as well at the end of the season. Not much happening elsewhere though, as the majority of clubs opt to stick with the squads they've got, at least for the time being. (12.01.07)
