Barcelona failed to win the title of world champions after losing 0-1 to Internacional de Porto Alegre on Sunday. After a comfortable win against América in their semi-final, Frank Rijkaard's side were favourites to take the title for the first time in their history. But their Brazilian opponents didn't allow them to play their attacking football, and in the end a late goal from substitute Adriano put paid to their hopes. (17.12.06)
