Friendly international
Spain 0 - Romania 1
A disappointing result for
Spain in this friendly international in Cádiz, Luis
Aragonés's new look side losing 0-1 to Romania. The coach gave
first caps to Angel, Javi Navarro and David Silva in his starting line up,
which included two of Silva's Valencia team mates Villa and Morientes up front.
And the best chances in the first half fell to the three forwards, who all
tested Coman before the break. Marica picked up a ball in Spain's half on the
hour mark though to run through and strike an angled shot past Casillas, and
although Silva almost squeezed a shot past the visiting keeper soon afterwards,
Casillas had to be at his best to keep out a dangerous Chivu free kick later
on. (15.11.06) |
