Mixed results for the two Spanish sides in the qualifying round of the Champions League. Valencia will be in Thursday afternoon's league stage draw after overturning a first leg defeat against Salzburg, strikes from Morientes, Villa and Silva helping them to a 3-0 win. But Osasuna will have to make do with a place in the UEFA cup after drawing 1-1 against Hamburg, Cuéllar giving them hope with an early header before De Jong knocked them out with a second half away goal.
