Kick off times

The kick-off times for the opening weekend of the season have still not been confirmed, as television companies are currently battling over the rights to show live games. However the matches involving Barcelona and Sevilla will be postponed until later in the following week as both clubs will be playing each other in the European Supercup on Friday 25th August. A preliminary timetable has been announced, although it is still not clear which television channel will be showing Saturday night's live game. (21.08.06)

The new television channel "La Sexta" won the bid to show live football in Spain and will be televising the opening game between Valencia and Betis on Saturday night. (23.08.06)
