Transfer rumours

And so it goes on. Less than three weeks now to the 31 August deadline, and Real Madrid still don't have their squad sorted out. It is looking though as if they will have to make do more or less with what they've got, and only Reyes and possible Diarrá are expected to sign now that Kaká has been ruled out after playing for AC Milan in the Champions League qualfier. Who will be moving on though is more of a mystery, and the latest names to appear in the press were Guti, who may move across town to Atlético if Diarrá does come to the Bernabeu, and Helguera, who could join Valencia if Ayala finally gets his way and leaves the Chés. Portillo has gone this week though to a Nàstic side who are starting to build up a squad to stay in the top flight, Sevilla striker Makukula (subject to a medical check on his dicky knee) and Brazilian winger Gil the latest to join the Tarragona based club.
