Pre-season fixtures

The first of the big summer tournaments took place this week, with newly promoted Recreativo hosting the Colombino trophy. Bolton and last year's winners Sevilla had to play off for third place after losing their opening games, but Recre were unable to regain the cup, losing the final 0-3 to Sporting Lisbon. Deportivo kick off their Teresa Herrera trophy tonight against Nacional Montevideo, with Atlético Madrid and AC Milan facing off in the other semi-final tomorrow. (11.08.06)
