Transfer rumours
This week has been the turn
of the youngsters, with several of the up and coming players getting tired of
the big club's policy of signing superstars and neglecting their "canteras".
Real Madrid Castilla's Jurado is the latest to move on, his transfer to
neighbours Atlético causing some concern at the Bernabeu, despite an
8 million buy back option which they have retained over the next two
seasons. De la Red and Balboa said they want a change as well, and Arbeloa went
a few days ago to Deportivo La Coruña, who are building up a new young
squad and who have already signed Rodri, Cristián and now Verdú
from Barcelona B. Castilla's new coach Michel shouldn't be too concerned
though, as he can count on five of the recently crowned under-19 European
champions for his team next season. And talking of which, defenders
Piqué and Barragán will be back plying their trade in "la liga"
next season after Manchester United and Liverpool allowed them to return to
gain experience with Zaragoza and Deportivo. (05.08.06) |
