2-0. 27. Shatskikh. Picked up Nesmachniy pass and beat keeper at second try.
2-1. 86. Ronaldo. Turned ball in off keeper after Beckham corner headed on.
2-2. 88. Ronaldo (penalty). After Ronaldo himself pushed over inside area.

A depleted Real Madrid side drew 2-2 at Dynamo Kiev, Ronaldo scoring twice in the last five minutes to ensure a point and a half share of the €600,000 prize money. All four places had already been decided, Capello's side sure of second spot, with the Ukrainians last after only picking up one draw in their first five group games. And the coach used the opportunity to give a run out to second choice keeper Diego López, plus a few of the B team youngsters, Torres, De la Red and Nieto in the line up with a few others on the bench.

The hosts went two up with less than half an hour on the clock, Shatskikh getting ahead of Mejía to turn in the first and then beating Diego López at the second attempt to score his second of the night. The Spaniards had had their chances in between though, De la Red firing a shot just over the bar early on, and Nieto and Cassano bringing good saves out of Shovkovskiy. And Salgado could have pulled one back when he shot into the side netting close to half time.

The only thing at stake was the prize money, but Madrid didn't give up, and Beckham hit the post with a long shot after the restart. It looked though as if they would be going home empty handed before Beckham's corner was headed on for Ronaldo to pull one back with just five minutes to go. And just two minutes later the striker equalised from the spot after he was pushed over in the penalty area.
