Spain lost this friendly match in Denmark which Iñaki Sáez was using to try out his new crop of players prior to the European qualifiers at the start of next season. The coach had to draft in several players late on due to injuries and unavailability of his first choice line up, and they went behind shortly before the break when Bendter beat two defenders before shooting past Moyà. Sáez made several changes at the break, and Gavilán and Montañés both went close before Bendter headed a second from a free kick. And Spain's bad luck continued when Negredo hit the post late on.
