Torrevieja. Spain are
through to the European Championship finals after beating Germany 3-1 in their
last elite round match. Ginés Melendez's side only needed a draw after
their big wins in the first two games, and Barcelona's Jeffren took advantage
of a defensive mistake to give them an early lead. Bueno latched on to a long
clearance from his Real Madrid team mate Adán to make it two immediately
after the restart, but Halfar got one back before Jeffren wrapped things up
with an angled shot near the end. The finals take place in Poland in mid July,
with the six best sides going through to the under 20 youth World Cup the
following year. |
