Croatia 1 - Spain 2
An injury time goal from
Fernando Torres gave Spain a 1-2 win over Croatia in their last
warm up game before the World Cup begins. Luis Aragonés's side went
behind early on when Pablo headed Krajcar's cross over the head of his own
keeper, but debutant Mariano Pernía equalised with a second half free
kick which took a deflection off the defensive wall. Torres had a chance to put
his side in front when Sergio Ramos was pulled down in the area, but Pletikosa
saved his kick. However with a draw on the cards Torres made up for his earlier
mistake, picking up a pass from Ramos before leaving two defenders for dead and
shooting inside the near post. (07.06.06) |
