A promising start petered out to nothing in Spain's first warm up game for the World Cup. Luis Aragonés lined up with an unfamiliar 4-3-3 formation against Russia, but it worked well and for the first half hour David Villa, Fernando Torres and Luis García could have had three or four goals between them. Casillas had to save the day after that though, and with half a dozen changes on the park they were unable to beat Akinfeev in the visiting goal despite several good chances. (27.05.06)
