Under 17 European Championship

Spain qualified for a place in the semi-finals of the European Championship after taking maximum points at the group stage. A 2-0 victory over Hungary left them well clear at the top of their group, and they will face the Czech Republic next Thursday for a place in the final. Rubén Ramos opened the scoring for Juan Santiesteban's side midway through the first half, and Bojan Krkic wrapped things up from the penalty spot near the end. (08.05.06)
