Copa del Rey, semi final second leg
Real Madrid 4 - Zaragoza

Zaragoza scraped
through to the final of the Copa del Rey by the skin of their teeth after
Real Madrid came within a goal of overturning the 6-1 result from the
first leg. A packed Bernabeu stadium saw the "Galacticos" score three times
within the opening ten minutes, Cicinho getting the first with a spectacular
shot, Robinho adding a second from close up and Ronaldo connecting with a
centre from Beckham to make it three. The visitors held on after that though
until the hour mark, when Roberto Carlos made it 4-0 following a free kick.
Ewerthon had a goal disallowed though at the other end for a questionable
offside, and Ronaldo failed to beat César with two late chances which
would have put them through on the away goal rule. However it was not to be,
and Zaragoza go on to play the winner of the tie between Deportivo and
Espanyol, which is still pending the date for the second leg to take place.
