Transfer rumours
The transfer market is now
in full swing, with ten days to go still until the window closes. So far their
have been around 26 signings in the first division, with about 40 million
spent to date, almost three times as much as the same time last season.
Mallorca were in action this week, snapping up Nunes and Basinas to add to the
signing of Pisculichi earlier this month, and Villarreal completed two deals
which see Figueroa moving on an 18 month contract to River Plate and Guille
Franco coming in from Mexico to replace him. Sevilla tied up the signing of
French defender Escudé from Ajax, and Espanyol's Jonathan agreed a loan
move to Almería. There was already talk of possible moves in the summer,
with Real Madrid targeting Arsenal's Cesc Fábregas and Valencia eyeing
up Getafe's Pernía. That is all six months away though, and right now
most clubs are deciding whether to add further to their squads before the 31st
January deadline. (20.01.06) |
