Second division, day 6
Real Murcia moved to
the top of the table after a 2-1 win over Racing Ferrol. Juan Carlos
equalised Acciari's early strike, but Pedro León struck the winner from
a free kick ten minutes from the end. Murcia are ahead of Xerez on goal
difference after the Andalusian side beat Hércules 1-0 thanks to
a second half goal from Camuñas. Ciudad Murcia held on to fourth
spot after drawing 1-1 at Numancia, although they will rue the fact that
Rubén got the equaliser for the locals in the last minute. And
Almería closed up on the leaders with a convincing 3-0 win over
Sporting Gijón, who are running out of steam after their good
start to the season.
Recreativo also join
the group on ten points, just two outside of the promotion spots, although they
had to come from behind to beat a battling Lorca 2-1. And Elche
too came back from a goal down to win 3-2 against Lleida, Poland's
Frankowski getting two of their goals. Albacete moved out of the
relegation zone after a late goal from Mario Bermejo gave them a belaboured 1-0
victory over Poli Ejido, taking them above Málaga B and
Eibar who play on Monday night. (02.10.05)
Málaga B and
Eibar drew 1-1, a result which leaves both down in the lower reaches of
the table. (03.10.05)
The top two both lost thanks
to last minute strikes in their respective matches on Saturday evening. An
injury time goal by substitute Marcos Estruch gave Castellón
their first win against Tenerife, and Nàstic's Diego
Torres handed Levante their first defeat of the season, also making it
1-0 in time added on. Elsewhere Valladolid spoilt Real Madrid's
inauguration of their new Ciudad Deportiva stadium, beating Castilla 2-3
with goals from three ex Madrid players Sousa, Tote and Víctor.
