Spanish international squad
Luis Aragonés took
advantage of the changes in the cup to bring forward the announcement of his
squad for the double header at the start of next month. Spain will be playing a
friendly game against Canada in Santander on 3rd September, and then meet
Serbia in a World Cup qualifier at the Vicente Calderón stadium in
Madrid the following Wednesday. The coach only made one change from the squad
he called up for the Uruguay game, Athletic's Orbaiz returning from injury to
replace Sergio. With Luque moving to Newcastle, that means that six of the
players are from the English Premier League. (26.08.05)
